GTA 6’s character switching is going to be COMPLETELY different than what we got in GTA 5 (at least I think so) and honestly, way more meaningful. With Jason and Lucia confirmed as the only two protagonists (sorry, third protagonist truthers), Rockstar is building something closer to a Bonnie & Clyde partnership system than the multi-camera director’s chair we got in 2013.
Let’s look at what the leaks showed us, what the trailers confirm, and where I think the gameplay is heading. Stuff like tactical co-op style switching, a relationship meter, The Last of Us-style stealth pressure, and a snappier near-instant transition when switching characters.
