GTA 6 first person mode could be way more important than most players realize.
In this GTA 6 theory video, we look at how Rockstar Games has developed first person across GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, and why GTA 6 could finally make first person feel like it was built into the game from the beginning.
GTA 5 introduced a full first-person mode with different aiming options, vehicle interiors, camera settings and first-person gunplay, but the game was originally designed around third person. Red Dead Redemption 2 pushed immersion much further with detailed interactions, slower movement, interiors, weapon handling and close-up world detail.
That is what makes GTA 6 first person so interesting.
With GTA 6 taking place across Leonida and Vice City, first person could completely change the feeling of driving, police chases, robberies, gunfights, exploring interiors, walking through crowded locations and simply experiencing Rockstar’s most detailed open world up close.
This video compares GTA 6 first person with GTA 5 and RDR2, while exploring how Rockstar could improve first-person gameplay, vehicle interiors, combat, police encounters, immersion and exploration.
Could GTA 6 finally be the Rockstar game where first person feels just as intentional as third person?
Let me know if you plan to play GTA 6 mostly in first person or third person.
