On September 21st of 2022, a game dev and gta fan by the name of DupZor released the first iteration of what would be known as the GTA6 Mapping Project. This rough beginning is what the community was able to discover after the biggest leak in gaming history at the time, and while it wasn’t much, it would start a year long effort to answer one single question. Could you map all of GTA 6 Vice City before the game officially released? With over 4 years of work since then and just weeks till the launch of the game, the mapping project has gone from this, to this. So as we finally close in on November 19th, I can now cover the entire evolution of the GTA 6 Mapping Project. The community’s method for completing this project, what was learned from each new trailer or screenshot, and of course the endless controversies that arose from GTA6 Leaks. So for the final time, this is the Rockstar Games GTA 6 Mapping Project, 3 years later.
