According to a recent report from Vice, Grand Theft Auto VI not launching on PC at release is actually intentional. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick explained in a Bloomberg interview that Rockstar’s strategy has always been to prioritize console players first, as they are considered the “core audience.” The goal is to fully serve that core player base on platforms like PlayStation and Xbox before expanding to PC later. Zelnick emphasized that this decision isn’t due to exclusivity deals, but rather a long-standing approach to ensure the game launches as strong as possible where the majority of players are at first, meaning PC players will have to wait just like with previous Rockstar titles.
